This involves a research agenda that aims to influence policies by researching and analysing issues constraining the sustainable growth of viable micro-finance institutions along with other network. In addition, being the hub of grass root implementing organisations, it fosters sharing of information and resources and joint action. It also helps them to play their role as sustainable community development finance institutions.

Its Research & Publications

  1. “A Will Needing a Way” – Written in English, the book talks about the Legal and Procedural Constraints faced by NGOs, MFIs involved in Micro Finance. This is an exploratory research study undertaken by AIAMED and Opportunity International. Priced at: Rs 200/-.
  2. “Good Practice of NGOs in Setting-up Alternative Development Finance Institutions” – The study documents the experiential path of some selected NGOs/MFIs in the Southern states of India, involved in Micro Finance. It also discusses the various forms available to development organisations engaged in Micro Finance. Priced at: Rs 200/-
